I first made these study guides public because the owner of vce.rocks was kind enough to help me host them on their website. I wanted enough students to know they existed so that they wouldn’t be used in a selfish manner.
But more than that, I sincerely hoped that having done almost all of the work on the guides myself, I could encourage other students, teachers and tutors in the community to contribute just a little bit extra where they could — sample questions from their school or an extra analysis here or there. Perhaps we could all stop being so obsessed with arbitrary ATARs and focus a little more on being actual human beings, collaborating with each other instead of competing to be on top of others.
A few users have been kind enough to contribute to them, and every instance has been such an encouragement.
Unfortunately, since vce.rocks retired, I have not been able to find alternative venues willing to publicise the guides. For many users, there also seems to be a distinct tendency to not only refrain from contributing, but to ‘gate-keep’ the guides from other students to gain an advantage. This is antithetical to why I made my guides public.
Therefore, after months of deliberation, I have decided to make the guides exclusive to my students only. In the near future, I hope to mentor a small community of students (in addition to my own) who resonate with my educational philosophy. An investment will be required to join this community so I can keep producing quality resources.
